When one uses BeeVital HiveClean, it is important to comply with the instructions of the manufacturer. Only in this manner can bee colonies be maintained in a good state of health, with high productivity, and the Varroa population reduced to the minimum. The BeeVital HiveClean solution has to be heated at the temperature of the human body and the bottle shaken before application. Approximately 15 ml of BeeVital HiveClean will be trickled over the bees into the gaps between the middle of the hive. One application is effective until day 8, acarian falls continuing for up to 10 days, depending on the degree of infestation. At the time of the year when there is capped brood, three successive applications are needed, at one-week intervals, in order to eliminate the acarians emerging altogether with the young bees at eclosion. In the active period, in the hives heavily populated with bees, it is necessary to remove wax bridges built between combs. On summer days, the treatment should be applied late in the afternoon, when all the bees are in the hive. If the treatment is applied in a broodless period, one single treatment is sufficient. One must avoid treating largely depopulated bee colonies, until one finds out the cause for which the colony has devolved.
